-The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of our brass specialist, Abigail Erickson (don't worry, she will still be our brass specialist). This group is geared for wind. brass, and percussion students in middle/jr high school with at least 2 year of playing experience.
2022 - 2023 Season:- The Preparatory Strings, under the direction of Elizabeth Marsh. This group will be for younger string students who have had at least one year of playing experience.
- In-person auditions are scheduled for August 27th. You can also submit an online video audition if you can't make it. Click here for audition information.
- Concerto Auditions will be August 20th, but you need to be registered by July 23rd.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.- I want this season to have the largest enrollment we have ever had! I need your help to make this happen (including those of you that graduated this year). Please pass along this information to your family and friends. Hello families! Maestro and I just wanted to wrap up the year, now that the Tour is over (sob). What an amazing year it was!First of all, watch Maestro's send-off video! Make sure you watch to the end...Please look at the attached photos and confirm none of the Lost and Found items are yours! Everyone should look through the photos, whether you went on Tour or not. And if you came home from a rehearsal or the Tour that doesn't belong to you, let me know and I'll help find the owner!We hope to see ALL of you again in the fall! Just to keep you apprised of the typical schedule...--- An audition excerpt will be available by July. You will need to perform that during your audition, along with a major scale and a minor scale (1-2 octaves each) and a 60 second solo of your choice. You can start practicing the scales and solo now and then work on the excerpt when it is available!--- In-person auditions will be in August; you are also welcome to send in a video audition.--- Rehearsals will start in September.--- Retreat is in October! It's almost as fun as Tour. :)--- Concert in NovemberMaestro and I hope that you all return to NUYCO in the fall... but if you decide to jump ship and go to NUYS, we will still cheer you on. :) Seriously though, we know you will do great things wherever you are and can't wait to watch you progress.
