Greetings!
What a lovely concert!
Thank you all for working so hard to make it successful.
There is no rehearsal next week, November 29. After all, it's Thanksgiving weekend, and we just had a concert. Our next rehearsal is December 6th.
If you did not turn in your music tonight, please bring it to the next rehearsal. It is time-consuming to file one part after all the music has been collected. Thank you for your cooperation - especially for everyone who turned in their music after the concert tonight! Kudos! Wonderful!
This is Julie Gardner, Managing Director of Lincoln Youth Symphony. If you need to read a previous email, they are all available on the Lincoln Youth Symphony Blog, the
Weekly Rehearsal Report,
here.
Remember, regular Saturday rehearsals are from 8:30 to 11:00 am. Thank you for being on time! This means call time is 8:20 and you should arrive 5-10 minutes early to set up and be ready for downbeat at 8:30. Mr. Findlay had treats for everyone who was on time today!
If you will not be attending a rehearsal, or will be leaving early or coming late, please contact me at 435.723.8262 or reply to this email. It is really disconcerting when someone doesn't come without letting us know. Thank you for your courtesy! I try to make it very easy to notify me.
Future Rehearsals & Other Miscellaneous but Important Information
We are in the compiling stage for sending letters to prospective contributors to our silent auction. Please consider helping with this effort.
Thank you to the Pattersons for hauling percussion for us after the concert. Thank you to all volunteers and members of the board who greeted people in the lobby. Thank you to everyone who helped break down the stage and put things away. Thank you parents and musicians for all your efforts: Your driving, practicing, early Saturday mornings, and smiles do not go unnoticed.
Happy Thanksgiving!
No rehearsal Thanksgiving weekend. We will resume rehearsals the following week, December 6th, 8:30 to 11:00 am, call time 8:20 am.
