Our Gala

Greetings!

I just want to update you on the Gala!  We are excited about this event, and we hope that you are too. The tickets sales seem to have been rather slow, however.  Realize that this will be a very nice evening, suitable for inviting people who are not parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents... Call your youth leaders, or talk to the people in your neighborhood. It promises to be a very elegant and fun evening! And it's for a very good cause!

We encourage you to keep selling tickets, but we also want to make sure there's enough food for everyone that comes, so please let me know (if you haven't already) about how many tickets you expect to sell. We are turning in numbers to the caterer tomorrow, and we need at least 100 plates for the price he gave us. Currently I only have 50 tickets sold for sure! See my previous Saturday Report email, or check out the Weekly Rehearsal Report in case you missed the email about ticket sales reporting. I will also be making phone calls. (Anyone willing to help with phone calls?)

A lot of effort has been expended on making sure there will be plenty of nice items for the auction and door prizes. If you'd like to see a partial list of what is available, look at the gala page of the website. Click here to see the list.

I also have a list of people who are willing to donate to our auction and one of the people making the calls has small children, so we need someone with willing wheels to go pick up these items. Please contact me if you are able to help out with picking these things up!

Remember, NO REHEARSAL tomorrow. I am concerned about ticket sales especially without the rehearsal, but I am confident that we can make this work anyway.

But, no matter what, YOU are worth it!  The Lincoln Youth Symphony is nothing without YOU!

Have a lovely day,

Julie
