Quick Announcements

Hi everyone!

Happy Announcement:
I'm having a great time in Pittsburgh, and my daughter Jana's recital was amazing last night. I don't know how long the video will stay up, but the live stream video is still there, for when (not if) you want to watch it, or at least put it on in the background.
(Huge hint: Flutists should watch this! and wait until you see the accompanist... He's from Armenia, like Arutunian!)

Okay, now for the important stuff:

Tomorrow, Josie is me. Be super nice and helpful, please, just as you always are! (Attendance form is still the best way to let us know if you'll be late, leave early, or be absent.)

No sectionals tomorrow. Full orchestra for the whole time, 8:30 to 11:00.

Josie will be asking information from the cello players who are riding the bus for their instrument size and for their case type (hard or soft). So, be super helpful with that, please.

Silent Auction and Gala:

Bring ticket money.

Bring Silent Auction items. :)

Need more info? The website has all the past posts about this.

Abravanel Hall stuff:

All seats on the bus are full (going down) plus there will be additional transportation - two seats in my car and 6 seats in Mrs Rockwood's car (she will meet the bus at Farr West). We also have several students getting on at Venture High, which will be a quick stop since it's so close to the freeway. Our bus chaperones are Valerie Neslen and Jenn Christensen, and they will have a list of cell numbers for those riding the bus. If you have issues Monday, or you aren't making it to where you need to be at the right time, call me! I won't be following the bus, but I'll be in touch will all the right people.

On the way back, the bus is pretty full, but there will not be a need for additional transport (other than for the cellos and basses, already arranged for both directions), which is good, because I have to stay for a meeting.

Lunch! You are all in charge of your own lunch. Water ONLY -- that's the only drink allowed! You may eat (carefully) in the bus, or (carefully) in the lobby of Abravanel Hall before the 1 pm start time.

Re-read the Abravanel Hall info sheet, please.

Please do let me know if you have any questions. If you have a question, it's likely others are asking the same thing.

It may seem that I'm always out of town, but this is only the third rehearsal I've missed in about 10 years. :)

Blessings,

Julie :)
