This Saturday! WooHOO!!!! - NUYS

Greetings!

We are starting up again this Saturday. We have reviewed the latest (Nov 23) governor's mandate and as a non-school extracurricular activity, we are good to go. We will acquire the next mandate when it comes out; it will likely cover the time of our concert as well, but if it's similar, and Ogden High agrees, we will be going ahead with the concert as planned, on Dec 19.

Audience Registration
The audience registration is still open, and if your audience members registered for the Nov 14 concert, they are still registered. Be aware that audience members will not be admitted without prior registration. They may register last-minute, but it would be so much better if they register early. If you are not sure what you asked for, just send me an email and ask. I'll look it up for you.

Concert Attire:
Please be aware of the concert attire for our group. It is "concert black" which is described here (taken from the website). [For the men, tux equivalent just means black jacket, black slacks, black shoes, black socks, white dress shirt, and black bowtie. You do not need a "real" tux.]
    • Male: Black tux or equivalent suit, white dress shirt, black bow tie, black socks, black shoes.
    • Female: Black dress, formal trouser suit, or blouse & skirt, midriff covered, conservative neckline, skirts & dresses at least tea-length, slits no higher than knee, black stockings, black shoes, accessories & trim in black.
The Pace family (from NUYCO) has also very generously sewn masks for everyone that will be participating in the concert, so we will have matching black masks. We will hand these out the day of the concert and collect them afterwards. You will each be given a ziplock bag with your name on it with your mask in it. You will use that bag to return your mask to me at the end of the concert.

This Saturday's Rehearsal. Come early. I will hand out Sleigh Ride when I'm setting up.
8:00 - Doors Open
8:20 - Prepare to play, set up sectionals
8:30 - First half hour - Strings, Woodwinds, and Brass sectionals, in the usual places - WW and Brass may want to look at Sleigh Ride!
