Messiah Brigham City
Our youth symphony has been invited to support the Northern Utah Community Symphony in Brigham City with their Messiah Sing-in performance, a community event at Brigham City Tabernacle on December 16. The dress rehearsal with soloists will be the previous night, December 15.Mr Dunn will be conducting and spoke with the orchestra about this during retreat last week. Especially invited are students who learned Messiah and performed in Montpelier this spring, but all interested players are welcome.
Rehearsals
The first rehearsal will be TOMORROW at Promontory School, just after regular rehearsal, November 4, 11:15 am to 12:45 pm. It will be a run-through, so all orchestra, wind and brass instruments are needed, and the brass pieces will be rehearsed first so they can be excused.The following weeks will be strings-only rehearsals. 11:15 to 12:45 will be the weekly rehearsal time, with adjustments to be announced for the week of our Nov 18 concert as well as Thanksgiving weekend.
