Press Release: Upcoming Youth Symphony Concert

Lake Bonneville Symphonic Society is proud to present Lincoln Youth Symphony and Lincoln Youth Chamber Orchestra in their 2013-14 season opening concert, "Symphonic Sampler," which will be Saturday, November 23, 5:00pm, at the Box Elder Middle School Auditorium, 18 S 500 E, Brigham City. Admission to this concert is FREE thanks to the generous sponsorship of Classical Strings Sales, Repairs and Rentals, Grover Wilhelmsen (owner).

The concert will open with the all-strings Lincoln Youth Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Amanda Kippen. They will be performing arrangements of Dukas' "Sorcerer's Apprentice", Percy Faith's "Brazilian Sleigh Bells", a Gregorian Chant transcribed by Conley called "Kyrie Eleison", and Sean O'Loughlin's exciting all-pizzicato piece "Firewalk".

Lincoln Youth Symphony will then present their debut performance under the baton of new conductor Conrad Dunn with an eclectic program including Beethoven's "Egmont Overture", Frescobaldi's "Toccata", Respighi's "Ancient Dances and Airs", and the Bounty Hunter Theme from Video Games Live .

Lincoln Youth Symphony and Lincoln Youth Chamber Orchestra are projects of the Lake Bonneville Symphonic Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded by George S & Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation, the Utah Arts Council, and their annual Gala Dinner and Silent Auction which is generously supported by local businesses, friends, and family.
