LYS Retreat Report for October 1-2, 2010

Greetings!

Music Camp Retreat:

Thank you for your support of our retreat this weekend!  I know it came up, for many of you, rather suddenly, and I'm glad it worked out so well. We certainly plan to do it again next year!

We rehearsed Friday afternoon, ate dinner, and played games & did skits all evening. I must say that the See Saw or Teeter Totter... WoW! It was sooooo cool!  Let's not wait until next year to play Whack-'em and Do You Love Your Neighbor again, K?

We are truly grateful to Moriah Wilhelm and Christina Taylor for their time and effort to conduct our Saturday morning workshops. Thanks, also, for everyone's great efforts in our Saturday morning rehearsal. We truly improved in our playing over the time we spent together!

Thanks to Scott and Tracye Blank, camp hosts. They did a great job feeding us and taking care of us!

Thanks to all the adults who stayed with us: Robert & Tiffany Bott, Kent Potter, Nada Pehrson, and Doris D'Asto (and me! Do I thank myself too?)... Thanks also to Tiffany and Nada for playing along with us.

Next week's rehearsal:
Our rehearsal next week, October 9, will be at the regular time, 9:00 to 11:15 am, at ACYI. Please arrive early since Robert has a track record for starting rehearsal exactly on time.

Fall Break:
There will be no rehearsal on October 16. Have a great weekend with your family!
