Press Release: Lincoln Youth Symphony and Lincoln Youth Chamber Orchestra Season Finale Concert

The Lincoln Youth Symphony (LYS) and Lincoln Youth Chamber Orchestra (LYCO) will be presenting their season finale concert on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 5:30 pm in the Box Elder Middle School Auditorium, 18 S 500 E, Brigham City. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for children 11 & under, $2 for seniors, and $12 for an under-one-roof family.

This concert's theme is POPS music, and it will be a crowd pleaser!

Lincoln Youth Chamber Orchestra, an all-strings orchestra conducted by Amanda Kippen, will be performing Creepy Classics including themes from Danse Macabre, The Funeral March of a Marionette, and  In the Hall of the Mountain King. Their other pieces include Front Porch Jam and Beauty and the Beast.

Lincoln Youth Symphony, a full orchestra conducted by Robert Bott, will be performing a suite from Harry Potter, music from Mission Impossible, and themes from the movie Hook. As a grand finale for the season, the two orchestras combined will be performing music from Pirates of the Caribbean.

LYS and LYCO are projects of the Lake Bonneville Symphonic Society (LBSS), which would like to thank all the fabulous community support for their recent Gala Fundraiser Dinner. LBSS is funded in part by the George S & Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation, the Utah Arts Council, and matching funds from ATK.
